hi, I'm lisa!
I'm originally from upstate Pennsylvania along beautiful Lake Erie, but I’ve called Durham home since 2013. Animals have been my greatest passion for as long as I can remember. I grew up owning many cats and the sweetest Dalmation, and was also the kid who’d drop everything to help a stray, lost or injured animal.
Before starting Paws Up Pet Nanny, I spent many years as a chef in high-end restaurants and trained in dance from the age of 4 until 23. Both taught me discipline, patience, creativity and an eye for detail, all of which I bring to my work in pet care.
but no matter where life took me, I always knew I wanted a career with animals.
In 2018, I followed that calling and started caring for pets across South Durham and parts of Chapel Hill. Nothing makes me happier than building lasting relationships with pets and their humans, and knowing every animal in our care feels safe, happy and loved.
I can’t wait to harness that passion when I meet you and your furry family!
